About OBK

The purpose of the Omar Bin Al-Khattab Islamic Center shall be to offer spiritual, religious, educational, and social services to the Muslims of Seattle and its vicinity.

The organization shall abide by the Holy Quran and Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) as understood by “Ahlu-Sunnah walJama’ah” in conducting all its affairs.

OBKIC is a non-Profit Organization with established by-law and administered by the board of trustee and that is dedicated to the advancement of Muslim society in Washington State. OBKIC is Per Internal Revenue Code described in Section 501 (c) (3).

Our Mission

To satisfy the needs of the growing Muslim community in Washington State.

Our Vision:

  • To create a healthy social and spiritual environment in the community
  • To facilitate the Islamic education for children as well as adults
  • To establish a venue for interaction within the communities of Washington State regardless of ethnicity, race and religion.
